PSA have successfully assisted Pain Medicine Specialists relocate from Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. All have followed this seamless process. None have failed initial College assessment. All have either achieved FPMANZCA or are well on the path to doing so.

The Due Diligence process collects your Resume, requests you complete a Skill Set survey and also a Family survey. On receipt a Due Diligence report is produced which provides an opinion of:
- the most likely outcome of College assessment
- your medical licencing pathway
- your migration pathway

Dr Nicholas Christelis and Matt Margach will meet with you to share the opportunity available at PSA. They'll table the details of practice with them. Also remuneration and expectations. Importantly, they'll listen to your interests and needs, the goal being to ensure "fit" with the practice. More than one meeting is perfectly reasonable to ensure everyone is completely comfortable.

Provided yourself and PSA are entirely comfortable an offer will be tabled. On acceptance the College phase begins.

Able Medico are engaged to lead you through the College phase. Our use of drafted forms for your review and approval; our checklists; our guidance makes this as "painless" a task as possible.

With the number of overseas trained Pain Medicine Specialists like yourself practicing at PSA there is a wealth of experience in how best to prepare for the College assessment.

Upon a successful College assessment outcome Able Medico lead you through medical registration with AHPRA. Again our approach ensures a seamless approach. Timeframe: AHPRA takes 10weeks to process from lodgement.*

Upon AHPRA registration, Able Medico will lead you through the migration phase to secure Permanent Resident visas (the ideal choice). Timeframe: Visas take 3-5months to process from lodgement.*

Medicare is required to allow billing of patients. Able Medico secure Specialist recognition and provider numbers. This occurs whilst you are still overseas so you are ready to commence practice on arrival.

Able Medico have a Relocation Advisory course for Doctors for which you will receive an invitation. PSA will introduce you to a Relocation Specialist to work one-on-one with you.

Once you arrive and settle in, PSA will have liaised with you regarding a mutually convenient commencement date. Then the PSA induction begins.

Once a commencement date is known Able Medico advise the College and a 3month clock starts ticking. At 3 months formal reports are needed by the College and AHPRA. Able Medico guide you and PSA through the process. And they continue to monitor and guide as you move towards Fellowship and Citizenship.

The Due Diligence Report provides you and the PSA team with the most likely outcome of the College assessment, the medical registration and migration pathways. We will need from you a Resume and these two documents please. CONTACT US if you have questions.

PSA are very open to supporting the sub-specialty interests of their Doctors. Please discuss with Nick and Matt.
PSA will discuss WHEN they would like you to commence. In terms of medical licencing and migration the timeframes are as follows:
1. the timing of the next College Pain assessment. The College runs 3 per year so it truly depends on WHEN the next assessment is being conducted AND whether a seat is available for you. Once discussions commence Able Medico can find out some approximate dates and availability from the College BUT that may change as other candidates lodge assessment applications.
2. On completion of College assessment, AHPRA medical registration takes 8-10 weeks for them to process.
3. On completion of AHPRA, Visas can be lodged. A 186 Permanent Resident visa generally takes 3-5 months to process. HOWEVER timeframes depend on volumes within the Department and the nuance of each application.
4. the timing of WHEN you give notice to your employer. Please let PSA know of your notice period. Able Medico will provide guidance regarding WHEN to resign.
5. the timing of WHEN PSA can undertake your commencement and induction. PSA will provide guidance during discussions with you.
PSA pays for the professional services of Able Medico for their guidance during the medical licencing and migration process. PSA will discuss with you the fees they pay during discussions with you. You may need to pay the College assessment lodgement fees only.
